Brancaster Beach, National Trust

Walk for miles on unspoiled, wide open beach, dunes and marsh. Breathe in the ozone rich fresh air and let your cares float away on the breeze - in the winter, it is a bracing one. While away magic summer days pottering about in the water, there is always plenty of room for everyone. Only about 4 miles from The White House and the absolute best spot to watch the sun go down, winter or summer.

RSPB Titchwell Marsh

Marsh, Lagoons and sandy beach - RSPB Titchwell is well known for the high quality of the birds and the beauty of the landscape. Interesting also for the archeological insights in to the changing coast, all the way back to the Mesolithic Age and including the remains of two Covenanter tanks from WWII. Good facilities to accommodate everyone. About 5 miles from The White House.

Brancaster Staithe Harbour

Ice cream van, Local seafood Shack, fishing, lobster and sailing boats, lovely little port and a good place for a wander. Avoid just before high tide in the summer season, as there is always a mad rush for everyone to get their boats out, especillay when the sun is shining.
