The House
Inviting and deeply comfortable reception rooms, warm hospitality and comfortable spaces to read, chat or simply put your feet up. Help yourself to a drink from the Honesty Bar or tuck in to complementary tea and cake - settle in for a delicious dinner at Acre or a straight up scrumptious Classics Dinner.
The Rooms
Each of our twelve individually designed bedrooms has its own character, but they all share the same sense of quiet comfort and understated luxury. Sink into one of our huge beds, enjoy the crisp white linens, throw open the windows to views of the surrounding countryside, sleep deeply in the tranquil surroundings and wake to birdsong, fresh coastal air and a freshly brewed cup of tea in bed. Properly quiet and calm, the bedrooms are a real retreat.
Eat & Drink
At the White House, good food is an important part of every stay. Start the day with a leisurely, cooked to order breakfast before exploring the coast, return for homemade cake and tea, then relax and have dinner with us.
On Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, Acre serves seasonal menus inspired by the landscapes and produce of Norfolk. With ingredients sourced from local farmers, growers and makers - including produce from our own farm - our cooking is all about making the most of beautiful ingredients using classic, creative techniques.
Throughout the rest of the week, discover our Prix Fixe Classics – timeless dishes, simply and beautifully prepared. Carefully planned, thoughtfully sourced and seasonally inspired our Classic Menus celebrate flavour with flair and express the warm, generous hospitality that is at the heart of The White House.
Our curated wine list includes the region’s flourishing winemakers, including our own award-winning Hawkers Hill wines alongside bottles from neighboring Norfolk producers and from the rest of the world.
