Daniel Kharitonov was born in 1998 in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk on the island of Sakhalin, over 4,000 miles from Moscow. He studied at the Central Music School of the Moscow Conservatory and came to the Royal College of Music in 2016.
In 2015 he was the youngest ever competitor in the 15th Tchaikovsky International Competition where he took third prize, a staggering achievement for one so young in a competition at this level. Daniel made his début at the Royal Festival Hall in November 2017 in a concert with the Royal College of Music Symphony Orchestra. He also appeared with the London Chamber Orchestra in Ghent, gave an extensive recital tour in Japan, was a soloist in Bratislava with the Slovak Philharmonic and played at the Windsor Festival and in Cambridge.
This is Daniel’s first visit to north Norfolk and his generous programme combines standard classics with works from his mother country’s rich musical heritage. We eagerly anticipate this brilliant young pianist’s début at Holkham.
Tickets: £25 - Includes a glass of wine in the Saloon during the interval and an opportunity to view some of the other state rooms in the Hall.Read More
