Norfolk Coast Path

Norfolk Coast Path

The most beautiful coastal walk - between Hunstanton and Cley. Choose your section and just bask in the huge open skies and wonderfully unspoiled coastal views. The Brancaster Staithe section of the path is recommended in The Daily Telegraph's Walk of the Week. Of course, everyone has their favourite stretch. Mine are the bite size chunks between Brancaster and Brancaster Staithe and from Burnham Overy Staithe to Wells - which includes the spectacuar stretch of Holkham coastline and from Morston to Blakeney. So many great pubs along the way too, a few of the ones we like are: The Hero, Wiveton Café (seasonal, as seen on the BBC's "Normal for Norfolk"), The Anchor and, right on the path in Brancaster is The White Horse.

Brancaster Staithe Harbour

Brancaster Staithe Harbour

Ice cream van, Local seafood Shack, fishing, lobster and sailing boats, lovely little port and a good place for a wander. You can walk there on the Norfolk Coast Path from the bottom of London Street in Brancaster. Avoid visiting just before high tide in the summer season, as there is always a mad rush for everyone to get their boats out, especially when the sun is shining.

RSPB Titchwell Marsh

RSPB Titchwell Marsh

Marsh, Lagoons and sandy beach - RSPB Titchwell is well known for the high quality of the birds and the beauty of the landscape. Interesting also for the archeological insights in to the changing coast, all the way back to the Mesolithic Age and including the remains of two Covenanter tanks from WWII. Good facilities to accommodate everyone. About 5 miles from The White House.

Brancaster Beach

Brancaster Beach

Walk for miles on unspoiled, wide open beach, dunes and marsh. Breathe in the ozone rich fresh air and let your cares float away on the breeze - in the winter, it is a bracing one. While away magic summer days pottering about in the water, there is always plenty of room for everyone. Only about 4 miles from The White House and the absolute best spot to watch the sun go down, winter or summer.
